Mushroom supplements come in several formats – capsules, powders, liquids and gummies. Each one has its own advantages, and the right choice depends on your routine and preferences. Here is a simple guide.
Extract capsules
Extracts are obtained using water and/or alcohol to concentrate characteristic mushroom compounds, such as beta-glucans or triterpenes. Capsules are practical, tasteless and easy to take at the same time every day. Ours are plant-based (HPMC) and suitable for vegans.
Powders
Mushroom powders are the whole mushroom, dried and finely milled. They keep the mushroom's natural fibre and can be added to smoothies, porridge, coffee or soups.
Liquids and syrups
Liquid formats are a good option for people who prefer not to swallow capsules, and for children's products. Once opened, they usually need to be kept in the fridge.
Gummies
A convenient, tasty format that is easy to remember. Check the sugar and sweetener content on the label.
What to look for on the label
- The species and the part of the mushroom used (fruiting body or mycelium).
- Whether it is an extract or a powder, and the extraction ratio.
- Analysed content of characteristic compounds, such as beta-glucans.
- The full list of ingredients and additives.
- Organic certification and the recommended daily intake.
Our approach
We keep additives to a minimum and list every ingredient on the label. Our products are produced under GMP, and every batch is tested for purity, including heavy metals and pesticides.
